1. What is HPC CLUB?
A community for anyone that works in High Performance Computing
2. What do you do?
Let's figure that out together. We're starting with a regular meetup.
3. What is the first rule of HPC CLUB?
Don't talk about HPC CLUB. No selling!
Club Rules
Why?
HPC CLUB events are open to everyone, and our aim is to allow people to collaborate and share. However, many of us work in industries that have strict non disclosure and confidentiality requirements or limitation on our ability to speak publicly. The following rules are in place to create an environment that still allows people to share something rather than nothing.
1. NO SELLING
a. Every other HPC event on the planet is supported by vendors. We want this to be different. This isn’t a space to be sold something, it’s a space to come together and openly discuss problems and find solutions. Especially those problems that vendors don’t want discussed openly at sponsored events!
2. CHATHAM HOUSE RULES
"When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed"
See Chatham House for more details
3. NO PHOTOGRAPHY
No photos or videos without the prior explicit (written if necessary) permission of every individual in the picture. This includes people that may be present in the background.
4. NO RECORDING
No audio or video recording of any presentations or speeches of any kind without the prior explicit written consent of both the organizer and speaker
5. NO PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
In extension to the Chatham House rules you may not publicly state (for example on social media) who was present or speaking at any event without prior (if necessary written) approval.
